AFORMAC, certificated ISO 9001 and OPQF is a
non-profit organization for training of adults, which groups together 7 branches
and relocated sites on the Massif Central’s territory (Clermont-Ferrand,
Cahors, Limoges, Montlucon, Moulins, Aurillac, Gueret...) The headquarter is in Clermont-Ferrand and the office for the European project is located in Montluçon, in the Region of Auvergne.
With about 60 trainers, it became professionalized in
the field of social integration, placement, and certification for persons in
difficulty, most of the time victims of discrimination. AFORMAC organizes
trainings in various sectors, from industry to services, particularly in
professional sensitive fields (catering& hotel trade, industrial cleaning,
help to the person, large-scale distribution).
AFORMAC also supports entrepreneurship. We receive in
individual or group meetings people willing to create their enterprise. We give
them the technical support to achieve their aim.
The department for European projects manages mobility
projects (Leonardo da Vinci, Regional grants), and proposes grants for youngs
(job seekers or trainees), in reciprocity with its partners (reception of
trainees). In 2012 we sent about 100 young people in Europe for a work
placement and we received about 50 Europeans in Montluçon.
We also manage actions of research and development in
training engineering, in the creation of educational tools particularly in
research of innovation for social and professional insertion. We are now
coordinating a LDV-TOI project, MOBI’VET, which aims to develop the ECVET in
the field of catering and hospitality.
